In 2022, the Council of the Welfare of Children recorded 9,000 cases of child abuse nationwide. Women and Child Protection Units (WCPUs) have been established to respond to abuse cases, but not all children have the means to go to these centers.
How can you help?
Through your donations, we can support satellite centers in targeted barangays known as Municipal TeleWCPUs. These are one-stop centers providing follow-up services for abused women and children, including medical treatment, mental health and psychosocial services, and legal services.
Each TeleCPU has a desktop computer setup with video conferencing and internet connection where abused children can safely and privately access medical, legal, and psychological services for FREE.
