On May 23, clashes in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur Province, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) forced thousands of families to run for their lives. Continued fighting has forced 385,000 people to flee -- around half of them are children. Many have lost their homes, schools or, worse, their loved ones. Fleeing to evacuation centres or relatives and friends in nearby provinces, children's lives have been turned upside down. They are in dire need of our help.
UNICEF is working on the ground, supporting the government-led response to help provide safe water and sanitation and psychosocial and education support. Donate now to help us reach more affected children and families.
By supporting UNICEF, you are helping not just one child, but generations of children to come.
No matter how remote the community or how challenging the circumstances, we work every day, uniting with governments and partners to change children’s lives. But we don’t just work on the ground–we also influence laws and policies to help protect and realize children’s rights.
We get things done, and we are not going to stop until every child has a fair chance at a better life.
UNICEF is funded solely by voluntary contributions, so every amount counts!
Out of every peso donated, 75 centavos goes directly to helping children and 25 centavos is reinvested to generate additional funds for children.
